border gradient stroke tutorial

You'll be making something like:

The Steps

1. Hide all layers BUT the black border layer. (I zoomed in. That's why all you see is my corner)

Add a white layer under the black border layer.

2. Zoom in. Click on the layer that has the black border. Click "Select >> Color Range" and then click on a part of the black outline of your border. Click OK

All of the black parts of the border should be selected now.

3. Click "Layer >> New Fill Layer >> Gradient >> OK" and then choose your gradient.

These 2 parts are optional.Duplicate the gradient layer and set the duplicated to "Color Burn." Set your layers up something like this so people can easily choose the gradient or not. You can also make the gradient repeat however many times you want.
