Please note this is ONE way of doing these. There's infinite different styles you can do with these. I am keeping it pretty simple for this.

The deco and color scheme in this tutorial can be found on my old content page. click here to be taken there.

    What you'll need:
  • One of the Photoshop Programs
  • A top deco.
  • A color scheme.
  • Whatever else you want in your cover

  • What you'll be making:

    The Steps

    1. The sizing is difficult to get down, so I decided to give you a psd template. download it here.

    2. Decide what pattern or color you want in the background and put it there.

    3. Decide your color scheme. Decide on a deco you want across the top of the cover. Line it up perfectly from the left. Just be aware that some decos do NOT look right for this & some side decos can work for this.

    4. Duplicate the deco and line it up next to the first.
click here to see what I have so far.

    5. Repeat the last step until the deco covers the top.

    6. If it looks weird or you just wanna move it some, select all the layers and use the move tool to readjust them.

    7. Add your text. (I have a bunch of text tutorials you can check out!)

    8. Now you can add what ever you want behind the text. Add brushes, add splatters, add whatever!
