preppy text v4 tutorial

What you'll need:
  • One of the Photoshop Programs
  • this pattern.

    What you'll be making:

    The Steps

    1. Type out your text in whatever color. It doesn't matter which color cause the text is going to be a gradient anyway.

    2. Right click on the text layer and click "Rasterize Type", right click on the layer again and click "Blending Options", now you're going to add a "Stroke" and "Gradient Overlay" so match both settings to mine.

Text should look something like this now

    3. Make a new layer (layer >> new >> layer >> ok). Drag that layer under your text layer, right click on your text layer and click "Merge Down."

    4. Right click on the text layer, click "Blending Options", now you're going to add a "Gradient Overlay" and "Pattern Overlay" [with the pattern I provided] and "Inner Glow" and "Drop Shadow" so match all settings to mine.

    You're done!!
