vector diamonds tutorial

Make sure you're done with setting up the vector psd layers. I have a tutorial on that if you don't know how.

You'll be making something like:

the steps

1. Save this brush pack. Then, define each brush.

2. Hold in CTRL on your keyboard and select the thumbnail of the base of the rays you want the vector diamonds in.

and now those rays should be selected.
**THIS SHOWS THE WRONG RAYS SELECTED AND THE WRONG COLORS AS THE REST OF THE TUTORIAL. IGNORE THAT LOL**

3. Create 4 new layers. On the first layer, use the brush tool to place the diamond. Make sure it's the first color of your scheme. This is really freaking hard to describe, but place your first diamond like this where a side is perfectly lined across OR where the top of the diamond is perfectly across. This depends on where you're at on the vector, so I placed mine all over it to show you what I mean.

4. Now use the upside down diamond in the 2nd color of your scheme and on the 2nd layer. Again, this all depends on WHERE at in the vector you are. Line the top up with the top and the sides up with the sides.

5. Now go back to the other diamond again. Make it the 3rd color of your color scheme and place it on the 3rd layer.

6. Do the last color. Hopefully you understand lining them up now.

7. Turn the circles into color fill layers. If you don't know how to do that than check out {this} tutorial and then come back.

5. Ok so now they should be color fills

Click the layer mask thumbnail.
**DON'T MIND THE COLORS BEING DIFFERENT LOL**

You should notice your color thing changed to black and white. THIS IS GOOD!

6. Now place the next diamond. It should AUTOMATICALLY be the color of the fill layer.

7. Click on the layer mask thumbnail of the 2nd color fill. Now place the next diamond brush and it should automatically be the color of the 2nd fill layer.

Optional: Click on each thumbnail and then click Filter > Sharpen > Sharpen.
